The Nationix Survey: 60% Want Awami League Participation and Intend to Vote in Next Election

Online-based investigative news outlet The Nationix has conducted a nationwide public opinion survey on Bangladesh’s upcoming national election, collecting views from 26,000 respondents across different regions of the country.

According to the survey findings, 47 percent of respondents said they do not trust the current government and the Election Commission, while 36 percent expressed confidence in both institutions. Meanwhile, 17 percent said they had no clear opinion on the matter.

Regarding electoral participation, the survey shows strong public support for the Awami League’s inclusion in the upcoming election. A total of 60 percent of respondents said they want the Awami League to participate and stated their intention to vote if the party takes part.

In terms of party preference, 26 percent of respondents indicated support for the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). Support for Jamaat-e-Islami stood at 9 percent, while 3 percent favored the NCP. The remaining 2 percent expressed support for other political parties.

Political analysts say the survey reflects growing public concern about electoral credibility, while also highlighting the importance voters place on the participation of major political parties to ensure a competitive and inclusive election.

The Nationix stated that the survey was conducted with respondents from diverse age groups, professions, and geographic areas to provide a broad reflection of public opinion ahead of the national polls.
