Meghna Alam, a political educator, leadership trainer, and Chairperson of the Miss Bangladesh Foundation, has taken a firm stand against the fake videos, propaganda, and misogynistic attacks spread against her through a statement posted on Facebook.
According to Meghna Alam, self-proclaimed journalist and TikToker Elias Hossain, currently residing in the United States, had been circulating fabricated and objectionable videos about her for a long time. Not only that, he allegedly harassed and defamed her by threatening to release videos, and later posted photos and videos of other women as well. After facing public outrage, he reportedly deleted those posts.
Meghna further stated that the male victim whom Elias attempted to use against her has publicly confirmed that he was traumatized after Elias published his explicit video. This makes it clear that Elias’s intention was to spread misinformation and conduct targeted attacks against women.
In her Facebook post, she issued a cautionary message:
“If any news outlet or page spreads false news against me, please send us the link. Necessary legal action will be taken.”
She also urged everyone:
“Take a strong stand against rumors, violence, and bullying against women.”
Her post has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many people expressing support and condemning the actions of Elias Hossain.
It has been learned that following Meghna Alam’s challenge and increasing public pressure, Elias Hossain has already removed all posts and videos related to her from his YouTube and Facebook platforms.
